SPEC opened in 1994 to begin performing Esophagogastroduodenoscopy
(EGD), Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, and more, in a friendly and caring atmosphere.
Procedures are performed Monday-Friday starting at 8am with check-in times beginning at 7:15am. Procedure slots are limited and by cancelling in a timely manner, you will be helping others receive the care they need and deserve. Therefore, there will be a $100 charge for procedures not cancelled within 48 hours.
In 2014, the national average of
the adenoma detection rate for men was 25%, while ours was 40.3%. Also, for women, the national average was 15%, we measured a 31.6% detection rate.
The 2014 national standard for screening cecal withdrawal time is 6 minutes or greater. SPEC average is 8.4 minutes.
