The most common cause of intestinal gas is swallowing air.  Listed below are ways we can avoid swallowing air.

 

ü      Eat and drink slowly.

ü      Chew food with your mouth closed.

ü      Do not use straws.

ü      Do not chew gum, regular or sugar-free.

ü      Do not drink carbonated drinks, (regular or diet) sodas or beer.

ü      Do not eat whipped or meringue foods.
